How realistic is our story?

Updated: Jul 24, 2020

Although we've had some very good words about our book, we also had a comment from a

reader about the story being non-realistic in certain parts. That observation is totally true. It's not the same as the story, is the opposite, but our intention has not been to write something which could be translated into a true-crime story. That goes for both characters and the story itself. Most things could be real, but we have been "stretching boundaries" so to speak. We want to entertain.

For example, which police would cooperate with civilians as von Siemens does? And would the sleuths really have found out what they did if they had been ordinary persons happening to stumble upon a case? No!

Our story is to amuse and we want the book (and the books to come) to be the ones our readers take with them when snuggling up in the chair or on the sofa, enjoying a cup of tea and having a relaxing time to themselves. We love the same kind of books ourselves, and it is a cosy mystery and the genre is non-realistic fiction.

So, if you can live with that and you like those tricky and nice stories where the police work is not in focus, but the lady detectives and how they navigate, and also the characters they are involved with, well then you have found the right genre. We wish you nice reading!
