Review comments

A while ago we wrote about a review we received from a book blogger, Marnie in Australia. We would like to comment a little about one of the paragraph's: "I liked how the book was structured and how each chapter had a title and a brief little description to accompany it. It has been so long since I have seen this done and it really was a nice touch rather than the standard chapter one etc. I also really enjoyed the ladies writing style. I am not sure who wrote what, but they were definitely in sync with each other and there is something old fashion in their writing which made for a Miss Marple vibe that I throughly enjoyed."

The chapters have a couple of sentences about what will come, but don't reveal anything really, just to make one curious. We will do the same in our books to come. (Three more are planned.) There are so many ways to catch the interest of the readers, and one can always do it in ones own way, which we accordingly did. And it was great fun!

About the language and our style of writing, we can only say that we love the English language and how much one can use it to be unique or slightly different, just so it's personal. It was not that we planned to be "old fashion" or something like it. But neither of us are into such a modern writing style, so this is the result. There are so many old words and expressions which easily are replaced, but why? Many still fill their place. Furthermore, we like idioms.

To even have Miss Marple mentioned here makes us thrilled. Our goal is to write a catching story at the same time as the language itself shall be a pleasure, and it seems as we at least somehow made it.

Finally about us being in sync. We are very likely not working as other writing duos as we only write one or at most one and a half A4 page each and then send it over to the other. Yes, it takes a lot of time, but it also avoids huge differences in how we write, because we are two individuals and of course that shows if one writes for example ten pages at a time.

Still that was not a plan either, but just the way we started and found out how well it worked for us. Now we can see it was the wise way to do it. But there are no right or wrong with writing. From start to printed book, all do it differently, regardless of being a single author or a duo. But we love to share with you and if you like a tip or two, just contact us.
